Cancellation and Refund Policy

At AlleppeyHouseboat.in, we strive to provide the best possible experience for our guests. We understand that plans can change, so we have established the following cancellation and refund policy to address any changes to your booking.

1. Cancellation Policy

1.1 Cancellation by Guest

  • Cancellations made 15 days or more before the scheduled departure date:
    Guests will receive a full refund minus a [processing fee/admin fee] of ₹1500.
  • Cancellations made between 7 to 14 days before the scheduled departure date:
    Guests will receive a [50%] refund of the total booking amount.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled departure date:
    No refund will be provided.

1.2 No-Show Policy

  • If a guest fails to appear on the scheduled departure date without prior notice, no refund will be provided.

2. Refund Policy

2.1 Processing Refunds

  • Refunds will be processed within [7-10] business days after receiving the cancellation request.
  • Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used during booking. If the payment was made through a credit/debit card, the refund may take additional time to reflect on your statement due to processing times of your bank.

2.2 Partial Refunds

  • If a guest needs to shorten their trip after the houseboat tour has commenced, no refund will be provided for the unused portion of the service.

3. Changes to Booking

3.1 Rescheduling

  • Guests may request to reschedule their booking up to [14] days before the scheduled departure date, subject to availability. Rescheduling requests made within 14 days of the scheduled departure may incur an additional fee of ₹1500 and the rates may change depends on the dates.

3.2 Changes to Itinerary

  • Any changes to the itinerary requested by the guest may incur additional charges, depending on the nature of the changes and availability.

4. Cancellation by AlleppeyHouseboat.in

4.1 Cancellation Due to Weather or Unforeseen Circumstances

  • In the event of severe weather conditions, government restrictions, or any other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we may need to cancel your booking. In such cases, we will offer:
    • A full refund of the booking amount, OR
    • An option to reschedule your trip at no additional cost.

4.2 Cancellation Due to Operational Reasons

  • If we need to cancel your booking due to operational reasons, such as mechanical issues with the houseboat, we will offer a full refund or the option to reschedule.
